This is where I break kayfabe and reveal a tiny glimpse behind the DMFP curtain aka things I’m planning and working on.

DMFP Instagram As an avid hater of social media, this is a somewhat troubling development. However, seeing a significant amount of my traffic comes from sources other than Substack, I figured it will be helpful to offer an alternative option to get notifications for new reviews. Right now, there’s nothing to see, but in the near future I’ll post updates there.

Structure?! HERE?!! As an avid hater of choice paralysis, I needed some kind of system to navigate my ‘to review’ list. What I came up with a monthly rotation of vague themes to help me pick the next show:

1. Recent (2023 - today)

2. ‘Classic’ (2015 - 2022/pre-pandemic)

3. DMFP Debut (previously un-reviewed promotion)

4. International/Non-US (UK, Canada, Australia, and if I feel like flexing my linguistic muscle: Russia, Mexico, whatever else I come across in obscure corners of the internet)

The ambitious goal is to review every tournament from 2015 on, keep up with current events (not strictly limited to, but focussed on tournaments), introduce promotions, and slowly create a comprehensive archive of this decade of deathmatch wrestling.

Reflections in Broken Glass As an avid fan of deep dives and tangents, I plan to add a secondary publication at some point. Nothing regular, just a place to tell the void about deathmatch shower thoughts that don’t fit in with my usual format.
